Life in Bolton Landing

The hamlet of Bolton Landing, founded in 1799, hosts a year-round area population of about 2000 which can easily and understandably multiply ten-fold during the summer months. Located conveniently in the Adirondack (“Forever Wild”) Preserve between Lake George Village to the south and Ticonderoga to the north, the area is noted for its family-friendly atmosphere. There are four public beaches - some with docking access - in the Landing as well as proximity to numerous hiking trails. Locally owned restaurants and shops dominate the approximate six blocks of our very pedestrian friendly narrow main street along with the typical range of practical businesses. The Sagamore Resort and Conference Center, occupying an island off our shores, boasts an original 1883 hotel. The Sembrich Museum provides a unique cultural experience celebrating music, history, and nature. The Bolton Free Library, Chamber of Commerce, Town Hall, and the Lake George Conservancy - all located in our main street - may also be helpful for your enjoyment of the area.
